Danae's Luxury Villas

We had such a good time at this beautiful, clean villa, and I’d gladly come back. It was our first visit to Crete, and the hosts were helpful with tips for people new to the area. Thank you 🙏🏼

The hill up to Danae Villas is seriously steep, though the views from the top make it worthwhile. Taxis could be a bit hit or miss: the four seaters made it up, as did both six seater transfers arranged by the owners, but some larger taxis couldn’t manage the tight hill. It may be tricky if walking is difficult, though a taxi can help, and the pool is there for a cool down when you get back. We were six adults staying as a family, and the villa had loads to use, including kitchen utensils, a pool table and outdoor table tennis. Every room had air conditioning, which was the best we’ve had abroad. The rooms were spacious, with their own balcony or terrace, wardrobes, dressing tables and great blackout shutters. The villas felt private and peaceful, with loungers beside a lovely pool. George welcomed us, showed us how everything worked, and was easy to reach if we needed anything. There was a generous welcome pack with bread, butter, cheese, ham, jam, coffee, milk, sugar and Ouzo. George also surprised us with a beautiful homemade cake midweek for my Dad’s birthday, which was so kind. The villas sit above the beautiful village of Koutouloufari, and we couldn’t have asked for a better trip. 10/10 for the accommodation, facilities, service and location.

The views were breathtaking, and we’ll definitely be back. We spent two weeks in the Yellow villa in September, and George was there to welcome us with a lovely basket of essentials and a few extra treats. The villa and its surroundings were spotless, and Danae and George communicated really well whenever we needed something.

Koutouloufari is such a lovely village, and the villa was just a short stroll from plenty of bars and restaurants. It was comfortable, roomy, and had a great pool.
