Villa Despina

The beach was stunning, with crystal clear water, and the friendly staff there were always ready to help. We loved the fresh smoothies and cocktails while relaxing by the shore. At Villa Despina, the clean, cozy rooms made us feel at home, and the whole stay was fantastic, better than we expected. It’s a hidden gem that left us with lovely memories.

The beach is the real gem here: clear turquoise water, very clean sand, and quality sunbeds set far enough apart. Even with families and kids around, it wasn't too noisy. The sunset from the beach is worth seeing, the colors were amazing. The beach bar was great too. The bartender and waitress were kind and always cheerful, and what we tried was good value for the quality, from coffee and sandwiches to pizza, beer and drinks. Try one of the premium gin labels. Villa Despina is a fantastic place to relax in summer, for couples or families. I wouldn't choose it for a big group looking for wild nights. Our room was comfortable, tidy and always clean, with a nice balcony. Everyone observed quiet hours, though you can still have a late drink outside if you're considerate. The host was kind and helpful with reasonable requests. I appreciated that he applied the business rules fairly, made no exceptions and treated tenants and employees with respect. We were there for four days, and spent each one from 10am to 8pm at the beach, crossing the road from the room. We came away relaxed, energized and completely satisfied, and will definitely visit again.

We've been regular guests since 2016, and each year the owner adds something new, which is nice and shows how committed he is to the place. The villa has a large garden by the beach where my three kids can play as much as they like, plus another pretty garden beside the villa for quiet summer evenings. It strikes a great balance between a relaxing vacation and being family-friendly.

The staff stood out most to me. They were always friendly, patient and helpful, and available for any concerns at any time of day or night. At Villa Despina, the room was cozy, pleasant and clean, and the price was very good for what we got. A beautiful stay, highly recommended!
