Oscar Hotel

The minibus was really useful for getting to the beach, since it's a long walk. It runs throughout the day, dropping people off and picking them up. One day there wasn't room for us, but the driver came back for us, which was lovely. We stayed from 2/9/25 to 9/9/25 and had a lovely time. Everyone on staff was helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Costas at the bar was friendly and efficient, as were the rest of the team. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was fresh and lovely, even though some people complain about the lack of variety. They also made my birthday special with flowers in a vase and a bottle of bubbly. A lovely touch, thank you. We'd happily come back to Oscar Hotel.

The only thing I regretted was booking just one week. We got back a few hours ago after a last-minute booking, and the reviews really don't do the place justice. Reception welcomed us warmly, and that never changed each time we came back. We'd booked one room for three adults, all that was available, for me, my wife and our 20 year old son as a 21st birthday treat. They upgraded us to a two room at no extra cost. Breakfast had loads of choice and I didn't get bored, though I've definitely come home with a bigger belly. The pool was a good size and well maintained, and the pool bar food was good quality with huge portions. It's a 25 minute walk to the strip, or a 10 euro taxi ride. Reception can book one, and it takes 5 minutes. The staff were professional, attentive and engaging. One morning a young lad was rude, loud and FaceTiming at breakfast. He didn't seem malicious, just an idiot. The dining room manager spoke to him once and then again. Most people hardly noticed him leaving, he handled it so subtly.

The pool never felt crowded, and the hotel is close to Laganas beach with free shuttles there and back. Staff were friendly, and the food was great, with fresh fruit picked from their garden. Best hotel ever.

We were really impressed by how clean and affordable the hotel was, and by the friendly welcome. Breakfast was plentiful, with lots of choice and good quality. The pool bar does familiar lunch dishes, plus drinks and cocktails throughout the day. The minibus to the beach is a real help because of where the hotel is, but it doesn't run for later afternoon or evening drop-offs and pick-ups. That could be useful for visitors. We wouldn't have minded paying a deposit to reserve a later ride into town. You can walk there, of course, but need to allow plenty of time. We'd highly recommend this welcoming place 💛
