Miramare Hotel

It’s close to Lakki port, which is a nice location. The manager was kind and helpful, but the hotel and its style both feel very old-fashioned. The rooms and shower could have been cleaner, and the business seems to be run in an old style.

It’s a very authentic place, but it feels a little old. The rooms are small and the bathrooms even smaller. The location wasn’t the best for us: it’s near one of the ports, but not the city centre or the island’s fun places. It wasn’t a good experience, and with all that considered, it’s expensive. Sometimes people might choose this kind of hotel for all sorts of reasons.

I woke up at 02:00 o'clock because of noise and found cockroaches on the floor. When I checked, reception was locked and nobody helped me. I contacted booking.com, and they tried for hours to reach the hotel without success. After waiting outside the building for hours, I finally found someone at 05:00 o'clock. I arrived at 24:00 o'clock, got the keys, and went to my room. They took the money in cash, without a card payment or a receipt. NEVER EVER STAY HERE.

A really good resource for children with special needs. Its equipment loan library and interdisciplinary evaluation clinic are unique.
