The facilities were very old. Our small bathroom always smelled, the small beds creaked constantly, and there were no mosquito nets despite all the mosquitoes. We had no curtains on the windows, even though our room was on the ground floor facing the pool. There was damp and rust everywhere, the pool was old and dirty, the garden was overgrown with low vegetation, and parking was scarce: 20 rooms and only 7 spaces, 4 of them reserved for a bus. This happened to another group as well, apparently because of overbooking. Their rooms had been given to other tourists after those guests checked in. Our own stay started with a call about plumbing trouble and a request to put us in other hotels for two days while repairs were made. We were two couples with one car, sent to different hotels 7 km apart. A very suspicious man, probably the manager or owner, tried to tell us there was no reason to be furious and that the replacement hotels were much better. That part turned out to be true. After two magnificent days, we ended up at the same hotel after all and came back stunned. The rooms bore no resemblance to the pictures we’d seen when booking online. A very bad place and experience. They nearly ruined our vacation.

The staff are what make this a four-star stay for me. They were always keen to help us have the best vacation, and we’ll be back 🌞🌞🌞. My bed was perfect, and breakfast was fine. This isn’t the place to choose if you plan to spend lots of time at the hotel.

The staff were kind, the pool area was nice, and it’s close to the beach. But the water supply was unreliable. It would work, then stop, which is maddening when you’re showering with shampoo in your eyes. The beds were very hard, with no mattresses. There was a strong smell from the cleaning products, and breakfast was very poor. Most rooms had air conditioners placed on the floor that sounded like jet engines, so sleeping with them on was impossible. With them off, you had to open the door onto a traffic road. The hotel is right next to that road, too.
