Grande Apartments

We stayed in the first-floor apartment for our July 2023 summer holiday. The building has three units at the edge of the center, around a 10-minute walk from the harbor. There were two parking spaces beside the house and room for two or three cars on the road in front. Everyone in the house could use the washing machine, and there was also a large outdoor charcoal barbecue. The apartment had air conditioning in every room except the bathroom. It could sleep eight: two separate bedrooms, one queen bed, two full-size single beds, and sofa beds in the living room for four more. The kitchen was roomy, with a fridge-freezer, stove, and double sink, but there weren’t many utensils. The bathroom was large, with one sink and a tub with shower, but no curtain or other splash guard. A couple of problems lowered my rating. The queen bed in the main bedroom had thin, flimsy slats and seemed to have a 200-pound limit per person. I broke through the slats twice and had to sleep in the living room for the rest of the stay, which was no fun. The bathroom had no window, just a 20x20 screened opening, and no air conditioning or fan to clear damp air after a shower. Water ran down the walls, and after four showers in a row the room became very sticky and humid. That opening also faced the back of the house, where guests could gather and socialize, so using the bathroom for anything involving sound during the day took good nerves. I took off two stars because of these issues and can’t recommend the apartment until the landlord addresses them.

The apartments have plenty of space, with parking, a barbecue, and a large kitchen and living room. They’re very close to the beach and all the markets. We had a great stay, thank you. I’d recommend them to all my friends.

The apartments were clean, with new furniture and air conditioning. They’re also fairly close to Metalia beach, restaurants, and shops.

There’s a nice garden with a barbecue, and the apartments are spacious. Great location.
