Golden Beach Hotel

We spent 7 nights here and had no complaints. The view was brilliant, our room was clean, and the staff were really friendly. Shops are within easy walking distance, and the buffet had a good range of food, with different dinner dishes each evening. I’d highly recommend the hotel, especially a sea view room.

The room smelled strongly of mold and cigarettes, and the air conditioning blew out the same moldy smell. For €120 a night, the conditions felt absurd: the buffet food was abysmal, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap weren’t provided, and even beach chairs and coffee other than drip coffee cost extra. The complimentary wine had a disturbing iron-and-blood taste. There was no housekeeping on Sundays, which I hadn’t realized was a thing, and the elevators were tiny, so expect to use the stairs. It’s also a TUI tour group spot, so large crowds are to be expected. Golden Beach shows how high prices can go with low standards. Save your money and sanity. There are much better places nearby that care about cleanliness, comfort, and basic hospitality.

We stayed 7 nights in early August, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you for the big room with a balcony. Our housemaid was such a sweet, warm, lovely lady, and Kevin, the young restaurant waiter, was lovely too. Please pass on my greetings to them both 😄. We had a late flight home, but even after checkout the hotel let us use the pool and a shower room. Breakfast and dinner were included. The main courses were Greek dishes and changed daily; I enjoyed the food and always left full. This lovely hotel deserves four stars, and I really LOVE the lobby. My two kids and I miss the place. Thank you all again 😭❤️❤️❤️

I don’t often write reviews, but this hotel was the best for me based on my own experience. It was super clean, and nothing around the property seemed abandoned or neglected. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. I don’t know the names of the two men at reception, but they were exceptionally kind and helped a lot during my stay. They made recommendations and were so friendly, almost like friends rather than staff. The hotel has a real soul. It doesn’t have a domestic atmosphere, and the manner is more formal, though less formal than I’d expect for this kind of place. I felt it justified every bit of money I spent.
