The room itself was large and pleasant, and the location is perfect, but we were exhausted throughout our stay. Groups of young people in the neighborhood were noisy every night, shouting from balconies in the building across the street and playing music on big speakers. They showed no consideration for others, and one evening they even threw glass bottles into the street. There were no curtains, so the sun shone straight onto the beds and woke us at 6:00 AM each morning. The balcony door handle was loose too. The bathroom had a serious toilet leak that kept the floor wet 24/7, plus another leak at the sink faucet. The two washers just needed replacing, but that seemed complicated for them. The shower curtain was too short and had a hole over 30 cm in diameter, and replacing it also seemed complicated. The kitchen sink leaked as well. There was no coffee maker or stovetop, just pots and pans, despite the listing mentioning a stovetop and a kettle for making coffee. It felt like a lie. We had to eat out for lunch and dinner, adding an unexpected €500 expense. There was no broom or dustpan either. On the third day, someone had entered the apartment while we were out, without warning. I found that disrespectful, but the owner thought it was perfectly normal. I told him to fix the leaks if he was going to come by. He came the day before we left, but the toilet and sink were still leaking, leaving the floor wet 24/7. He said I had to turn the taps off really, really hard to stop the leak, but it was still leaking.

There were cockroaches everywhere. I opened the fridge and one was coming out of the door seal, then found them among the pots and pans in the cupboard. At 1 a.m. one crawled over me and woke me up. Once I turned on the light, I saw more around the room, including under the bed. I couldn't sleep after that, so I packed and waited until morning to get out. I had booked four nights in what was meant to be an apartment hotel, but there wasn't even a sponge or dish rack. I contacted the owner and Booking.com without getting a reply. When I called Booking.com again to ask to be moved, they told me to wait 48 hours. I'm still waiting to hear back. They show no respect for guests and seem happy just to take the money. Booking.com doesn't seem to care about people either.
