Villa Theodora

A quiet, lovely place among olive trees, with clean, roomy spaces, a kitchen, air conditioning, and a balcony with a stunning view. The owner is an older lady who's always up for a chat in Greek and takes good care of her guests. The walk down to the beach is under ten minutes. I'll be back!

Villa Theodora is a great budget option, with the basics you need and a central location for exploring the island. A few beaches and supermarkets are nearby. Panagiotis was super friendly and answered all my questions, as well as suggesting activities around the villa. He lent me a big beach umbrella and gave me some homemade wine from their grapes. Amazing!

Panagiotis is a very kind person and host. This is traditional Greek domatia me banio ke kouzina, and the accommodation was clean. Hot water comes from solar energy, so on cloudy days or late at night you might get a cold shower. In summer, that wasn't a big problem, and using only solar energy is a good solution.

In August 2019, we booked ten days directly at the property, at 80 euros a day, and gave the owner Mario a 300 euro deposit without getting a receipt. The next afternoon, because of some problems, we called to ask if we could shorten the stay to four days. Mario wouldn't agree and wanted the full amount, 300 plus 500 euros, on the first day. We lost the 300 euros without staying even one night. Making money is one thing, hospitality is another.
