Caesars Gardens Hotel & Spa

The gardens and views were spectacular, and our top-floor room looked out over the sea, acropolis, gardens, and mountains. It was absolutely perfect. The room was spacious and well equipped, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and always smiling, ready to help with anything. Breakfast was delicious, with a good selection of pastries, bread, fruit, and yogurt, plus tea, coffee, and water. There are resident cats at the hotel, with chickens and donkeys nearby, and more wildlife around. We spent ten days here for our honeymoon, and it was easily the most relaxing hotel we’ve stayed at. The hotel is at the top of a hill, about a 15-minute walk down to Lindos’s main square, which is fine if you’re reasonably fit and mobile. It felt like absolute paradise, and we’d have no hesitation recommending it. We’ll definitely visit again soon.

The calm atmosphere was lovely, with tasteful background music that never got intrusive, and the resident cats added to the charm. There’s also a small supermarket just down the road, which was handy for picking up extras. The grounds are immaculate, the pool is large with lots of comfortable Bali beds, and the non-heated outdoor jacuzzi is a nice touch. Caesars Gardens & Spa looks beautiful, stylish, and chic. Our room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the food we tried on site was genuinely good. Still, several things fell short of what we expected from a five-star stay. Room Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent unless we left the door open. Service disappointed us: the welcome felt impersonal, restaurant and breakfast staff seemed fed up and standoffish, and even though we’d mentioned our honeymoon in advance, there was no acknowledgement or small gesture. Breakfast was poor compared with the other food. The buffet was limited and repeated the same options daily. There was no freely available fresh fruit except some tired apples; if you ordered fruit, you got a few kiwi slices on an empty plate. Bread sat out for hours and was stale. Lunch and dinner were expensive, including €7 tzatziki without bread and €6 Diet Coke. Only two small water bottles a day were complimentary. There was no free shuttle into town or to the beach despite the steep walk, while other nearby hotels offer one. Sunbeds were reserved at dawn and then left empty for hours, which the hotel seemed to allow. It was frustrating. Caesars Gardens & Spa has the makings of an incredible property: it’s visually gorgeous, the pool area is fantastic, and the mood is wonderfully peaceful. But inconsistent service, disappointing breakfast, and a general feeling of stinginess took away from what should have been a special honeymoon.

The rooms were spotless and spacious, with daily cleaning. Staff and service were truly five-star, and the breakfast I had each morning was outstanding. It’s a beautiful, romantic setting and just right for a getaway together. I’d definitely come back, and I can’t recommend it more highly.

We loved how peaceful and dreamy this place felt. It was easy to walk into Lindos, and the supermarket was only three minutes away for snacks and water. There were always free loungers, though we had to keep shifting around to find shade by the pool. Our room was spacious, the pool area was relaxing, and my partner had a lovely spa massage. Breakfast was tasty and filling. We loved staying here.
