Xenios Dias Boutique Hotel

The staff were friendly and breakfast was nice. It’s an older hotel, but very well looked after. I’d have liked a few more breakfast choices, like fresh-squeezed orange juice or toast.

After coming back from the mountain, I stayed here for one night. Mr Dias and the team gave me a warm welcome, and the room was clean, well stocked, and had air conditioning and a lovely view of Mount Olympus. There were snacks and a minibar where you could help yourself and pay at checkout. The food was okay but could use a little improvement; the service, though, was excellent. I’ll definitely come back next year and recommend the place.

A friendly hotel in a great spot for staying in this charming mountain town at the foot of Mt Olympus. My room was clean and well kept, with beautiful mountain views. There’s a taxi rank right outside, so it’s easy to head to the beach or go up the mountain to one of the refuges for lunch.

The steak was good, but not enough to justify paying more for it than in Paris. We first came a couple of years ago and returned this year based on that experience. This time, the price list showed souffle cake at 3.5 euros, but we were charged 6.5. I also paid an extra 3 euros for a scoop of ice cream. It felt like the man saw tourists and took advantage of us. I don’t know what the rooms are like, and I’m not interested in finding out. After being cheated as a cafe customer, I won’t consider staying there.
