Barefoot Contessa

I spent a week here and was very pleased. The apartments were clean, modern, and comfortable, and the location made it easy to reach the beach, restaurants, and supermarkets. It was a relaxing, stress-free holiday. I'd recommend it.

We first stayed here in 2007, and it's been our happy go-to ever since. We missed 2020 and 2021 because of Covid, came back in 2022 and again this year, and have already booked for 2024. The owners have become friends. The Hemingway bar staff are phenomenal, as is Dina, who cleans the apartments. Spiros, Crete, or Dina will help if anything comes up. The location right on Lourdas beach is a dream, with the most comfortable sun loungers, and the bar food is fabulous. The apartments are well equipped, and everything is immaculately clean, even the bar washroom despite how many people use it. I don't know how they keep it to such a high standard. I recommend staying here, but book early because it's so popular. We just got home and miss it so much. Love, love, love.

We had a fantastic stay at Barefoot Contessa and will definitely be back. The bay views from the well equipped apartment were amazing, and bars and restaurants were within walking distance. The area is beautiful and unspoilt, with lovely, friendly people. Dena, the cleaner, kept everything spotless every day and is such a lovely lady. Spiros, the owner, was always available when needed and even drove us to the airport. I'd highly recommend it.

The beach was beautiful and clean, and the sea was always crystal blue. It's a quiet spot, but has a liveliness of its own, and everything you need for a relaxing beach holiday. The apartments are amazing, the staff are phenomenal and welcoming, and the rooms are very clean and have everything you could need. It's only 20 minutes from the airport. This was my third visit, and I'm already looking forward to the next one in August!
