Mouroukis Rooms

We found the room we wanted on Booking for one night and called the owner, Ms. Vasiliki, to check availability. She told us not to book through Booking. Her direct price was higher than the platform price, and when we pointed that out she said to come and we'd find something, since she doesn't rent it for just one night. So we went. The price was higher again, though she gave us a decent discount. The room was maybe worth 80 at best. We thought we could manage one night, but the heat was unbearable. We turned on the AC and went out to eat around 7 in the evening. When we came back around 11 or 12, the room was only a little cool. We fell asleep, but woke up sweating as if we were trapped in a hole. We barely slept, and at 4 in the morning we put wet towels on ourselves to try to get some rest. By the time dawn broke, we were ready to get out of there. When we went to pay by card, Ms. Vasiliki said she was an older woman and didn't know how these things worked. After a lot of effort, she woke her daughter-in-law, who was meant to come and issue the receipts. We went to the machine, found there was no paper, changed it for her and waited for the receipts, but they never came. We only got the POS slip. We left, and we won't set foot there again.

Mrs. Vasiliki is lovely and ready to help with anything. The building is old, but spotless, and everything is right nearby. We'll definitely come back. Well done! 👏

The hotel smells of rot and mold, and feels rotten. The owner tries to help, but it doesn’t work out.

A clean, very basic room for the price, but the location is good, right next to the central square. You can't expect an 80-a-night room when you've paid 35.
