Iason Villas

We spent a lovely week in Villa Afrodita at Iason Villa in Maleme near Chania, from 4.9. until 11/09/2022. There were four couples, all friends. We booked directly by email, and the process was straightforward and transparent. They helped arrange transport and answered our accommodation questions. Even though we arrived at 1:00 AM, our hosts were there to welcome us and explain how everything worked. The 250m2 villa had four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, plus another toilet. There was a big kitchen and living room, a barbeque area, a large pool with loungers, and well-kept grounds. The whole villa had air-conditioning. The kitchen was fully equipped, including a large double fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Katerina made sure we had what we needed throughout the stay. We enjoyed the welcome basket, and she surprised us with a homemade cake. Towels and bed linen were changed halfway through our visit, and the pool was cleaned daily. We appreciated being allowed to stay longer on departure day because our flight home was in the evening. Thanks to the hosts and Katerina for a lovely holiday.

Villa Natali gave the four families in our group plenty of space, and the kids had room to play. The pool was big enough for everyone. We spent long, relaxed evenings with friends around the fantastic outdoor kitchen, which had a winecooler, wooden stove and bar area. Food, drinks and good company made it just right. The villa is secluded and very private, which added to the luxurious feel. The beach, supermarket and car rental are close by, and the small roads behind the house were great for short walks. Katarina was a lovely, generous host and always available when we called. Thanks to the owners for making such a lovely place and letting us stay there!

We spent two fantastic weeks in the four bedroom villa Aphrodite, one of three villas on the large, well-kept Iason Villas property. The rooms are huge. Each has an en suite, and there's an extra toilet downstairs. We planned to put the children in their own room, but there was so much space that we kept two cots in our room instead. The villa was well equipped for cooking, with plenty of crockery and utensils, plus a toastie maker. They provided orange pool towels as well as white bathroom towels, and were happy to supply cots and high chairs that attach to the indoor dining table. Katerina was lovely and kept everything clean. She did a thorough clean four times during our two weeks, with fresh towels. The pool area is spacious and has lots of shade. It's very quiet here, with little road noise. From the upstairs rooms you can see the sea and the surrounding hills. There are hotels along the beachfront, but none were especially noisy during our September visit. A small supermarket with basics sits at the foot of the drive; a larger one is about ten minutes away on foot or two minutes by car. Several restaurants are also an easy walk away. We hadn't realized one bedroom was in the basement. We'd planned to put the toddlers in a separate room, but weren't comfortable having them on their own on another floor, so we changed our sleeping arrangements. That may not be an issue for many groups. We were very happy with our holiday and would stay again.

The garden, full of flowers and trees, was lovely, and the pool was amazing. Everything was very clean. It's handy for the bus stop, supermarket and sea. Highly recommended!
