Solon Apartments

Nektaria was a fantastic host, and her local recommendations were top class. The banter she kept up all week really made our stay and helped us feel welcome. The pool area was amazing, and the little seating spots around the property were a lovely touch. Our apartment was fantastic and cleaned to a high standard every day. Solon Apartments is a 10/10 place to stay!

We chose Solon Apartments as a base for daily drives in different directions, and the location was perfect for that. It’s a peaceful complex, easy to get to, and within walking distance of the beach and a few restaurants. The apartment was spacious and clean. Maleme is a small, quiet village, but it has restaurants, supermarkets, car rental, an excursions office and a bar. Its beach has both rocks and sand; for a sandy beach, Agia Marina is 20 minutes by bus or 10 by car. We liked having a quiet base to unwind in the evenings after exploring. At the hotel, the apartments are practical and nicely arranged, with a big, comfortable bed. The bathroom has a kids’ bathtub our daughter loved. There’s a shallow pool area for children and an adult section about 1.5 metres deep. The place looks even cosier in person than in the photos, with two little seating areas by the pool and well-kept plants. It’s a cosy, quiet hotel with what you need for a relaxing holiday. Nectaria is what sets it apart: she welcomed us from day one and gave great recommendations for places, restaurants, beaches and small local villages. She made our stay special. We had a lovely stay at Nectaria’s place and highly recommend it. I’d give six stars if I could.
