Villa Maria

We felt as if we were staying in a friend's holiday home. Maria and her daughter Panagiotis were so welcoming, and we enjoyed stopping by to chat before heading out. They helped with everything we needed and made us feel at home from the start. We were even offered a cold drink when we arrived, which was very welcome in the Samos heat. The garden is lovely, and the beach is just across the street, about 100 meters away. Restaurants and supermarkets are nearby. Our apartment was well cared for, with practical furniture, neatly folded towels, and a small kitchenette with a stove and basic pots and utensils. From the balcony we could see Oros Kherkis, where Pythagoras' cave is located. We'd happily come back.

The balcony looking out over the mountain was a lovely bonus, and the apartment had a good air conditioner that kept it cool. The little kitchen had what we needed to make meals, and there were books to read. We were right across the road from the sea and beach, where sunbeds and umbrellas were free to use. Shops and plenty of restaurants were close by. The mother and daughter who run the apartments were so kind and easy to talk to. The mother was there each day, while the daughter handled administration and cleaned twice a week. They answered our questions and helped whenever we asked. On our second day, the daughter brought us a cake, and she let us do laundry when we needed it. The apartment was clean and tidy, with a cold bottle of water waiting in the fridge. We spent 10 days there with my partner and were welcomed with a drink. Such a lovely place.

Maria and her daughter were warm and helpful from the moment we arrived, and made us feel safe and at home. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place. Our ground-floor apartment had everything we needed for a good holiday, and it was very clean, with a lovely new bathroom and a separate kitchen room that also had a third bed. The kitchen had a kettle, coffee machine, cups, fridge and freezer, and there was a cold bottle of water for us when we arrived. We also found books in several languages, air conditioning, and a drying rack on the terrace, which came in handy after swimming. The garden is beautiful, the prettiest on the street, full of plants and flowers. From the bedroom terrace we could see Kerkis mountain, and through the neighbors' entrance there was a glimpse of the sea. I think the sea is directly visible from the first-floor balcony. The beach is just across the road. The terrace's window bars kept out the heat when closed, so it was nice and cool when we came back in the evening. We stayed from 1.9. to 13.9.

Maria and her daughter made us feel so welcome and were really helpful. We had a wonderful three-week stay at Maria Studios and would absolutely recommend it. We might come back soon.
