The location is good and the place itself is nice. The rooms are a little noisy because the sound insulation isn’t good, though we were mostly outside. At night, you can hear everything from everyone. The strangest part was the male owner. He seemed cheerful, but in a way that felt a bit fake or pre-programmed. His wife seemed calmer and more grounded, and the kids were lovely. I realized while packing that I’d mixed up my charger and charging cable, so I asked at reception if they had anything in lost and found that could let me charge my devices. His wife lent me a cable and said I could return it the next day before checkout. That’s exactly what I did. At checkout I saw the male owner again. He seemed happy I’d returned the charger, smiled his usual fake smile, and asked if the room was clear. I said yes and thanked him for the stay. Later he posted a public comment on Airbnb claiming I hadn’t asked permission to borrow the cable and warning people to be cautious about hosting me. The strangest move ever.

We booked this place for our first night and enjoyed it enough to return for our last night after island hopping. It’s in a quiet spot, about a flat 10-minute walk to the harbour and another 10 minutes to the beach. There’s a great big supermarket just a few minutes away. The rooms are spacious and very well equipped. Sokratis is a perfect host, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed what we saw of Mastichari and hope to come back.

The bar was a lovely spot to wind down after sightseeing or a beach day, and breakfast was freshly cooked and really good. My family also appreciated how clean the rooms were and how warmly we were welcomed. Sokratis was the highlight: cheerful, hardworking, and helpful both at the hotel and with suggestions for restaurants and places to see. For a well-priced 3-star hotel, it ticked a lot of boxes.

We had a really nice stay. Sokratis was helpful with questions and anything we needed, and our room was clean and spacious. The beach is nearby, the port is an easy walk, and the sunsets are stunning.

It’s quiet and relaxing here, even though there are plenty of bars and restaurants close by. Our room was spacious and clean, and breakfast was amazing. The host was so friendly and helpful, always happy to do whatever he could for us. I’d definitely stay here again.
