Ktima Petalea

The garden was beautiful and the area around it very calm, with the beach just a few metres away. There's also a beach bar, where buying a drink or sandwich lets you use the beach umbrellas. We had a really nice, relaxing holiday at Ktima Petalea with our one-year-old daughter. The house had what we needed. The kitchen is small, but has the basics like knives, spoons, and dishes. Ilias, the apartment owner, is a smart guy who speaks only Greek. Still, things worked out well, and there were people around who spoke English or German. We'd definitely recommend staying here and would come back.

The sea is only 250 metres away, and there's plenty of room to find sun or shade. The garden has vegetables, many kinds of plants and trees, and the surrounding nature feels like a gift. Melina and IIias are there to help if you need anything, and will try to make it happen. The bungalows are clean and comfortable. Such a peaceful place, I was very happy to be here.

The man seemed angry for no clear reason. He said the cafe wouldn't be open because he was leaving for the beach in 30 minutes, but still asked us to pay 10€ for one set of sunbeds. We left.

If you want a quiet Greek seaside break, this is a great place. In September the lovely, wide beach had at most eight people on it. The beach bar and restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, coffee, and juice. They invited us into the kitchen to choose our food, so we could see exactly what it looked like. The owner and the rest of the staff were very kind, generous, and helpful. We'll be back!
