May Beach Hotel

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone with allergies or food intolerances. We came as a couple after being told gluten-free and dairy-free meals would be available, but the choices were limited to soy milk, gluten-free bread, and a muffin, repeated every day. There was nothing suitable at lunch or dinner. The room had other problems too: ants appeared each night, the wardrobe smelled too bad to use, and the bathroom was so small the toilet hit the door. We only got one key card, which also controlled the air conditioning, so the room was hot whenever we returned. The toilet wasn't cleaned daily, and the cotton swabs weren't replenished. We could hear everything from neighboring rooms at night, with no soundproofing. Most staff were kind, but when we politely asked at reception to change our beach towels, we were spoken to rudely. That interaction was shocking. This didn't feel up to the standard of a four-star hotel.

The gardens and pools are lovely places to unwind, and the hotel is spotlessly clean. We're staying here now and having a great time. It suits families and couples, with modern, nice rooms, amazing food, a good bar, and really friendly staff. It's close to the beach and shops too. I'd definitely recommend it.

A lovely green escape, with peaceful gardens and the beach nearby. There are plenty of sunbeds, the fresh food is delicious, and the staff are delightful. Antonia and Andy at the pool bar were especially lovely. We'll be back!

The pool was really nice, and the service was friendly, but the rooms felt a little worn and could use some care. The hotel looks older. All-inclusive didn't feel worth it, and I wish they'd label the food so we'd know whether it was pork or chicken. I also wish they'd say clearly what kind of all-inclusive it is.
