AK Mykonos

Our stay at AK Mykonos was a bad experience. We paid in full through hotel.com, but the host cancelled our reservation without telling us. We only discovered this when we arrived. She put us in a room at She Mykonos instead, a different hotel from the one we had booked. It was really another apartment on a busy nearby alley, with no reception or service and no key to lock the door. We waited an hour and a half for someone to bring the key. We were starving and needed to go out, so the delay was very stressful. The replacement cost less and was definitely smaller, especially the bathroom. My husband couldn’t sit on the toilet properly, and hit his head on the door when standing up. I couldn’t turn around in the shower, and water got everywhere. The street was noisy at night, and the room felt dusty and stuffy. We barely slept. It was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Because our hotel.com booking was non-refundable, I asked for a 30 euro credit, although the downgrade was worth around 50 euros. She wouldn’t refund us even that amount. I’m unhappy she didn’t tell us about the change sooner, so we could have looked for somewhere else. The room wasn’t what we booked, and I think she should have found a way to refund the difference. Mykonos Town was also too crowded for us, with lots of shops selling cheap stuff to tourists. If you want somewhere quiet and good quality, with a proper reception and good service, I don’t think staying in town is worth it.

The staff were kind and really helpful. We got to Mykonos earlier than planned, and they kept in touch and arranged an early check-in. The property is beautiful and well located, and the rooms are wonderfully spacious and comfortable. The AC worked great and everything was very clean. We’d be glad to come back.

We only spent one night here, but the room was lovely, clean, and welcoming. The location right in the center of Mykonos is ideal. Ana, the owner, was always quick to reply and available when we needed her. Highly recommend it! 🤗

Great room, friendly staff, and a safe area close to the bus stop we used every day. We had a terrific stay and nothing to complain about. 🙌🏻
