The location is a real strong point, close to both springs, including the pools with algae and the sulfur waterfall. The road leading there is panoramic. Beautiful hotel and an excellent host.

Cool place.

Sadly, our one-night stay as a large group wasn’t good. The hostess was kind, but both houses seemed neglected: the blinds were broken, the dishes were damaged, and the place generally didn’t feel cared for. The biggest concern was hygiene. The water, not the sewer, had a strong cesspool smell, which made us feel unsafe even washing our hands. When we raised it, we were told “that’s how it is” and nothing could be done. This review is based only on what we experienced during our stay. We knew the water wasn’t drinkable; the issue was that the water, and consequently the whole space, smelled strongly of sulfur. That left us uncomfortable throughout the visit, and we’re clarifying this to avoid any impression of deliberate defamation. We appreciated small conveniences like early check-in and the wood, but in the off-season they didn’t substantially change the experience. We would of course have accepted a charge, as we said at the time. The mention of the “door book” was just a communication delay within a large group, not an intentional omission. We don’t think that adds to the substance of the discussion or justifies insinuations. We were simply a large group of visitors. I wish these explanations had been given when we raised the issues, so there might have been a chance to find a solution. Instead, we were told “that’s how it is,” leaving no room to address them. Our comments were made in good faith to help improve things, and we sincerely hope the accommodation will show the care it deserves in future.
