Diamanti Molivos Studios & Apartments

Delicious Greek food, made with love for traditional cooking. The restaurant is run by a lovely husband and wife, and you feel like part of the family straight away!

We’ve been spending our holidays at this lovely place for ten years. Diamanti and Spyros are super friendly and funny hosts. The studios are basic, but had everything we needed for a summer stay. Some of the fittings are old, though each year we spot something restored. This year it was the balcony table and chairs. The view from the balcony is amazing. If anything’s missing, Diamanti and Spyros are happy to help. Our studio was cleaned very thoroughly every two days. We love the garden, with its flowers, fruit trees and vegetable patch growing things like aubergines, peppers, tomatoes and beans. The pool area is convenient and has a lovely view of Molyvos castle. The family restaurant is fantastic. We had tasty breakfasts each morning, lovingly prepared by Diamanti and Spyros. Diamanti is a great cook. The daily menus are written on a blackboard, and everything is freshly made with care. It’s traditional Greek cuisine at its best, with lots of organic produce from their own garden. If you have a special dinner request, just ask Diamanti. We had comfortable, restful holidays this year, twice in fact, and hope to come back again next year.

The hosts were very friendly, but the property didn’t live up to the photos. It needs maintenance and looks as if nothing has been done since it was built. The kitchenette had only four glasses, with no plates, kettle or cutlery. The spotless bed linen had holes and a couple of tears, and the pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. There was no shower gel or hand soap, and the windows had no insect screens. There was no air conditioning in the living area. We booked two nights and only stayed one. I wouldn’t stay there again.

I haven’t stayed in the apartments, but I’ve eaten at the restaurant. The food was very good, cooked and served by a lovely couple. I’ll definitely eat there again when I’m back in Molyvos.
