Douka Seafront Residences

Sotiris made this stay special. He welcomed us, showed us to our room, shared information about the area, and suggested places for breakfast and dinner as well as places to visit. It was a unique experience, and we've already booked to return in August. We came for the Holy Spirit long weekend and booked through the accommodation's own website, which let us use the “Tourism for All 2024” voucher. It was one of the most affordable choices around, right by the sea, with a private beach, water sports, and a pool open late. Thanks for everything.

We had a lovely, quiet and peaceful stay here, and the place was well managed. The rooms were very spacious and had a delightful holiday feel. The pool was divine, and it's close to all the sites shown in the pictures. We stayed five years ago, just after the new management took over while refurbishment was underway, and I'm considering staying here again this year.

A disgrace to Greek tourism, a total fraud. The room was only 2 metres high, so we couldn't lift our hands without hitting the ceiling. It was dirty and full of bugs. The bed was awful and nothing like the photos, and the closet was broken. There was no room service, not even for towels. The TV and other electronics were broken too. There wasn't even a minibar with clean water, although the local water isn't drinkable, so we had to carry bottles from Monemvasia. The host had a terrible attitude and didn't care. The hotel has no view of the Monemvasia area, so the photos are fake. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, and it should be closed for good.

For what we paid, I can overlook some issues, and it's not a bad place for a few days. The view is great and the price was cheap, but the whole property needs renovation. Our room had no windows: the partly glazed door was the entrance, despite how it appears in the pictures. It also hadn't been cleaned properly when we arrived. The kitchen was poorly equipped, and the dishes there weren't clean. The place has a lot more potential.
