Blue Sea Hotel

I had a really nice room on the top floor, with a view over the bay and the city. It was very quiet too. I’d recommend this place, particularly if you’re coming from Turkey, since it’s right across the street from the ferry terminal.

The location is great, but the rooms are very old and breakfast is poor. I’d still stay again for the location.

For a stay in Mytilini centre, this is probably the best hotel you can book. The staff were kind and helpful, and Nico, who was on reception when we arrived, was a true gentleman and clearly wanted us to feel comfortable. Our one issue was some noise from upstairs in the family suite on the third floor, very early in the morning. Otherwise, I’d recommend it to everyone. It’s definitely worth the price.

The location was the only good part for us. I came with my parents, and the room they gave us was ridiculously small. The bathroom was even tighter, and I physically struggled to use the toilet and take a shower. It seemed like they had squeezed in an extra bed, but none of us could fit on it. The room clearly seemed meant for a couple, not a family of three. Breakfast wasn’t even decent: the scrambled eggs and ham were oily, and there was very little to choose from. It was especially disappointing if you’re gluten-free or don’t like food swimming in oil. I’d be careful booking here. The pictures made me feel scammed because what we got didn’t match any of them. You can find much better places at the same or lower price.
