Mytilana Village Hotel

The garden was lovely and well cared for, and being near the bay made it easy to enjoy the natural scenery. My balcony looked out over a beautiful view of the bay, greenery, flowers, and the sea in the distance, a peaceful place to relax after exploring. At Mytilana Hotel, reception welcomed me warmly, and the staff were kind and genuinely empathetic, going out of their way to help. My room was tidy and spotless, with a very comfortable bed and the softest sheets for a great night’s sleep. It was a wonderful stay, with excellent service and a beautiful, peaceful setting. A great choice for a quiet retreat and an authentic taste of Greece. Highly recommended!

Was I happy with the vacation? Yes. Would I return? Maybe. The hotel is right by the sea, with sunbeds and 6 umbrellas, though two are broken. The grounds are small but looked after, with trees and plants to walk among, and local white, yellow, and gray cats add to the homely feel. It’s a compact, family-friendly place for a quiet break, about 20 minutes by bus from the airport. There’s no entertainment, so children may get bored, and even adults can find it dull. In the evening, music at the bar only came on when groups of local residents arrived. The rooms are small but cleaned well each day, and the air conditioner cools them properly. Some wall sockets were loose. In my room the hairdryer overheated and switched off quickly, making it very hard to dry short hair. Our house was nearest the road, though the others aren’t far away either. Cars often disturbed our daytime rest and woke us early, which was also the only time we could open the windows for cool air. There’s enough food, but the choice isn’t extensive. The restaurant coffee was delicious in the morning. “All inclusive” doesn’t mean everything is covered: at lunch and dinner, water, sodas, and wine were available, while local beer from the fridge cost €4 and bottled drinks were extra. The bar’s limited options included wine, draft beer, ouzo, coffee, and sodas. Other drinks had prices shown in the attached photos. There’s no cocktail menu, but you can ask the bartender what’s available. A mojito cost €8. The bartender was the only unfriendly staff member and often got orders mixed up. I couldn’t manage a whole week at the hotel, so I found things to do outside. A taxi to the nearest city costs €10-12, or you can rent a car at the hotel. They had manual cars, Toyota Yaris, Suzuki Baleno, and Suzuki Swift, for €50-55 for the day. Cars must be returned with a full tank, and there were many people interested, so book ahead. I recommend bringing your driver’s license and renting a car. Despite the downsides, it could be an ideal place for undemanding couples looking for a relaxing holiday.

The people were the best part, so lovely and helpful. We spent a lot of time chatting and learned interesting things about the island. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast and dinner tasted good, though we only had dinner twice and didn’t like it very much. There was always fresh fruit. The beach is clean but rocky, with lots of fish and shrimp you can see in the morning. The place itself is great, especially if you rent a car, which I think you need here. You can rent one on site at a good price. :)

A great place to unwind while visiting Lesbos Island. The owner is a really friendly, good guy. Everything was great, and we left with very good memories.
