Byron Hotel

There are quite a few steps to climb with your luggage, so keep that in mind. If that’s manageable for you, this is a lovely vintage style hotel with nice views. The staff were great, breakfast was full, and the rooms were large. The verandas had plenty of tables, too.

The room on the third floor had two windows with an amazing view over the town and sea. When we first opened the door, we just stood there with our mouths open. We’d stayed at very nice hotels in Spetses and Hydra just before, but Byron was the best of the three. Byron Hotel has the charm and character we look for, a cosy old place in Nafplio’s old town with a wonderful view across the whole town. The owner welcomed us warmly and suggested a local Tavern with great Greek food. Breakfast in the old dining room/bar felt like stepping back to an earlier Greece, and we really enjoyed it. Definitely highly recommended, a 10 out of 10!

I always look forward to coming back to this lovely little hotel in Napflio. It’s central, boutique style, and the staff are friendly and very helpful. During high season there’s a simple breakfast, served inside in the bar/dining room or outside on the beautiful terrace. At other times, there’s an electric kettle in the room with tea bags, instant coffee, sugar and milk, so you can make a hot drink whenever you like. There are also plenty of places a short walk away for breakfast and good coffee. The cleanliness is another thing I appreciate. All areas are kept to a high standard, the rooms and bathrooms are truly spotless, and the hotel follows Covid 19 rules.

Right in the heart of town, but still quiet. Clean and comfortable.
