We paid the agreed 120 Euro when we checked out, but the money went straight into the receptionist's trouser pocket. When I asked for an invoice, he claimed he didn’t know how to use the printer. I insisted and gave him my email, but no invoice ever arrived. A few hours later, the hotel emailed me accusing me of not returning the keycards, which was completely untrue. That felt like harassment. This small hotel may be fairly new and centrally located, but our experience involved too much shady behavior. We booked one night through booking.com, then a few weeks before arrival the hotel emailed us pressuring us either to book a second night or cancel. At check-in, the receptionist again asked us to cancel the booking.com reservation and pay cash for the one night in exchange for complimentary breakfast. She admitted that this would mean the hotel avoided booking.com fees. We went along with it and cancelled, though it left us feeling uneasy about the hotel using booking.com for marketing and then avoiding the fees. I felt booking.com was the first victim. The apparent lack of an invoice made me suspect the Greek Tax Office was another, since the hotel might not pay any tax on our 120 Euro. Maximizing profits at the expense of booking.com and the Greek Tax Office is unacceptable.

We came for a weekend after Christmas. The hotel is tucked into Nafplio’s lovely little lanes, and it’s small, cozy, with welcoming staff. Our room was clean and small, but fine for two. Breakfast was basic and okay. The one problem was the lack of hot water, which other guests were also talking about at breakfast. A staff member said the new management had forgotten to turn on the boiler.

Sofia made us feel right at home and was very welcoming, with useful recommendations. The room was very clean, and the location worked well, in the old city but still close to the port and its parking lot. Thank you for everything!

We could explore Nafplio’s old town on foot from this hotel, right in the heart of the city, and didn’t need transport. The room was bright, perfectly clean, and had all the comforts we wanted. The staff were warm and ready to help, whether with restaurant ideas or arranging local activities. It felt like they’d thought carefully about the guest in every detail. We had an amazing stay and will definitely return. Highly recommend it!

The suite had its own patio, which was a lovely spot for evening drinks and watching the sunset. Check-in was easy, and all the staff were great. It was my first time in Nafplio, and this downtown hotel was right in the old town, with shops and restaurants just seconds or minutes away on foot. The beach was about a 5-7 minute walk too. Highly recommend!
