Rigas Pension

Lena, the owner, is sweet. We stayed one night during a quick stop on our way farther south for the holiday. I knew it was a traditional hotel in the town center, and it was cute, but it needs a lot of work. The bathrooms really need renovating, and the exposed hot water pipes can burn you if you touch them by accident. There's no elevator, and the stairs are very narrow.

The breakfast was nice, but the rooms are small, and the street facing ones are very noisy. We booked four non-refundable rooms for two nights. One couple had to leave after the first night, and because our room was smaller, we asked to switch into their already prepaid room. The owner said we'd have to pay for another night, even though every room had been prepaid. Later she asked for only 26 euro more after realizing how unreasonable that was, but by then it felt too little, too late. I don't recommend this place.

After a good rest, we woke to a delicious breakfast in the outdoor garden. Lena was warm and made us feel at home, and the building's history was really interesting. Rigas Pension is beautiful, and we loved staying there. The town was quaint and delightful to explore on foot. We hope to come back someday!

The owner is extremely nice and helpful, the breakfast is good, and the location is top notch in a beautiful city. This is one of the nicest places I've stayed in Greece. The rooms have a lovely fairy-tale feel, and there's just something about the place that makes you want to stay much longer. Totally recommend it.
