Our room looked onto an interior patio where people smoked, and the smell drifted inside. The shower had corrosion, and the tap water was salty and undrinkable. Breakfast staff wouldn't let us refill our water bottles with the drinkable water they served. Reception didn't seem surprised.

The junior suite was spacious, and getting around the hotel in a wheelchair was fairly easy. There's a small ramp at the entrance and an elevator to every floor. Most rooms seem to have level entrances, though ours had a little lip to step over on the way in and out. It wasn't a big problem, just a bit odd.

It feels authentically Greek, with a quiet, international kind of sophistication. We had everything we needed in our room. The staff were discreet and polite, but also warm and welcoming. A wonderfully hospitable hotel.

The breakfast had a huge spread and was really good, and the service was good. Our room was nice, if not especially memorable. We only stayed one night, but the location impressed us most: if you're visiting the tourist sights in Nafplion, everything is the perfect distance away. It's also on a very busy central street, which made parking difficult. The listing said “Free Parking,” but the hotel doesn't have its own parking, street parking is simply free. That felt a bit misleading.

The cleaning chemical smell in the room was unbelievably strong. It was so bad that I felt nauseated.
