We especially liked the view and the location, and having a full kitchen and washing machine was handy. There are cats living there, too, and they’d come into the sitting area every night while we were there.

The place was clean and had a washing machine, but I wouldn’t recommend booking it. We chose it because parking was promised, yet we couldn’t find it. It was also poor value for the price. Even after asking three locals, we spent an hour trying to locate it, first by car, then on foot. What we found felt more like a room in a shared flat than an apartment, with a hallway shared with the other occupants. To reach the tiny toilet from the room, you have to cross a balcony. The shower is cramped and has no curtain, so water gets all over the toilet area. I’d save yourself the hassle and book a hotel near the port.

Right beneath Akronafplia castle, you get a lovely view of the city while staying away from the town noise. Angela and Fanoula are genuine, honest hosts, and the place is in the heart of Nafplio.
