Amfitriti Palazzo

Breakfast and coffee on the patio each morning were delightful, and our favorite part of the room was the balcony with its perfect view. The room itself was small but beautiful, and everything was super clean. The staff were charming and went out of their way to help. We thought the location was amazing, even though getting there was tricky. It reminded us of upper Plaka in Athens, but cleaner and quieter. A couple of things to keep in mind: parking and the steps down to the hotel can be difficult, especially with lots of bags or if steps are a struggle. Our shower was also very small, though it wasn’t a huge deal. We only wish we could have stayed another night or two.

The room had a great view over the lower buildings, and the service, breakfast, and room condition were all good. Just know the walk from street parking is longer than most, uphill and uneven. Heavy bags could be a problem.

Getting there means climbing stairs each time, which can be difficult, especially with several heavy bags. Still, the location is lovely, quiet, and right in the center. The staff were friendly and helpful. We missed a few amenities, like a water boiler, but would recommend this hotel any time of year.

The view over town, with the old wall in the background, was beautiful. Our family of four had a nice room, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good too. You can easily walk down to the stone beach for a swim, almost like paradise. The water was refreshing at the end of April. I also recommend the 20-minute walk along the coast past the old lighthouse.
