Burgos Barrio Naxos

Katerina was kind and welcoming throughout. Before we arrived, she texted directions from the port after our ferry from Piraeus. We got there three hours before check-in, and she let us leave our bags while we explored town as the room was being cleaned. She was around most of the time and had helpful suggestions for coffee, food, and whatever else I was looking for. She also cares for lots of cats, including a blind one, which showed how compassionate she is. We stayed in the castle room and were very happy with it. It was comfortable, the amenities all worked, and the Wi-Fi was fine. The room was cleaned daily, and when I mentioned that the hot water kettle didn't work on the first day, Katerina replaced it right away. There was construction on the castle across the path on Monday and Tuesday, so it was loud then. Saturday and Sunday were quiet. We stayed three nights in early October, when it wasn't too crowded. Next time, I'd love to stay for a week. Thank you, Katerina!

Service was fantastic, and Burgos Barrio has harbor views from its shared deck. Even though it's up above the seafront, the place is quiet and peaceful. The walk through the old town to the waterfront takes just five minutes. I'd recommend staying here.

The rooms are spotless and beautifully furnished in a traditional style, and we'd love to return. Katharina is probably the friendliest, most charming landlady on Naxos. Thank you, Birgit and Dieter, May 2025.

I stayed here in June 2024, and this inn has a special place in my heart. The owner was so welcoming, my room was lovely and full of color, and the view from the rooftop was breathtaking. I think this will always be my comfort spot in Naxos.
