Kalergis Studios

Soazik was a huge help during our stay at Kalergis Studios. She arranged a rental car to arrive at the time we requested, right at Kalergis, and gave us useful information while sorting all the details for a boat day trip to the Small Cyclades on the day and at the time we wanted. The location is right on the beach and just steps from Chora, convenient for everything but far enough from evening noise. We had a balcony for watching sunsets, with beach bars, bakeries, and sun beds nearby. There’s also free public parking about a five-minute walk along the beach. We’d recommend it to anyone who wants a beachfront stay within walking distance of downtown.

On my third trip to Naxos, I stayed here for the first time and found a great place. The rooms are clean and reasonably priced, right on the beach. It’s an easy walk into town, with nice restaurants and handy supermarkets and bakeries close by. The local beach is clean and pretty flat, with shallow water that stays shallow quite a way out, and no jet skis or small boats come near. Right next door is the fabulous café Vammos, with wonderful staff, Sofia and Mike. You can rent sunbeds there and enjoy tasty food, snacks, and a cocktail or two while watching the sun go down.

The terrace has such a lovely view that you could spend all day there. Then at dusk, head down to the beach bar Vammos for a drink and a chat and laugh with the friendly staff. The rooms are cosy and clean, with a big comfortable bed and quiet nights and mornings. It’s also close to the center and small supermarkets.

We loved being right by the beach and could pop back into the hotel to leave our valuables inside whenever we went for a swim. The water is calm and shallow, so you can wade pretty far and still stand. We floated on cheap tubes we bought down the street, too.
