We didn't stay at the hotel, but rented their sun loungers on the beach three times during our time on Naxos. Other providers have pushed their beds and parasols farther back from the front, and the beds aren't as 'superior' as some, but they worked fine for us. We've visited before and still prefer to support Golden Sand. The young woman serving us was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We also had drinks and food and could use their facilities. There's a new bar next door that feels showy and seems aimed at a more pretentious crowd. The music gets quite loud at times, which is annoying. Plaka is gradually getting spoiled and a bit too glamorous. Keep up the good work, Golden Sand. It's a long established place here with a nicely down to earth feel.

We loved the pool, the location, and the good food during our fabulous week. Eva, Ioanna, Maria, and the rest of the staff were so nice and helpful. The hotel has a familiar, homey atmosphere that made us feel as if we were at home. We'd highly recommend it and hope to return soon!

Golden Sand Hotel has been such a joy to stay at. The staff are caring, the rooms are spotless, and the location is hard to beat, right across from the beach and close to a supermarket. Still, the highlight for me is Vasili's latte. Each morning came with a perfect heart on top and felt like a warm hug. Coffee lovers, this is your happy place. Thanks, Vasili, for making caffeine such a pleasure. 💛

The location is what really makes the stay special, right on the beautiful Plaka beach. The pool area is nice as well. Staff were friendly, the breakfast was okay, and our room was clean, though there was an unpleasant smell under the sink. 👌

We were after a quiet few days by the sea to recharge, and this place suited us perfectly. There are just 15 rooms on site, which we really liked. Our room was clean and well fitted out, though you may need to ask for tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. The golden sands of Plaka Beach are very close and great for a summer swim, though it can be windy sometimes. The bus into town is easy to catch, and there are a few mini supermarkets nearby. The food on site was good quality, but more gluten free choices would be useful. It was a great place to relax away from the noise of Naxos town. We'd stay again for sure.
