The owners were lovely, polite and always ready to help. We left our luggage at reception on the last day. We spent six lovely days on our little balcony, watching the sunrise and sunset and feeling the sea breeze at night. Our white room was simply but tastefully decorated, with blue double doors opening onto the balcony. When we opened them, the wind and sound of the sea came in, and there was blue as far as we could see beyond the blue railings. The location is hard to beat, near both the port and the center of the old town, with its winding lanes and so many restaurants, bars and shops. The room was spotless, and the bed was huge and comfortable, even for me with my back problem and picky sleeping habits. We arrived by ferry around midday on a very hot day, and walked up the lovely old town streets and steps, with colorful bougainvillea everywhere. We stopped often to admire the views, got a bit lost, and eventually found Anixis. Everything was perfect. I'd definitely stay again and can't wait to come back.

Breakfast on the rooftop was delicious at 10Euro per person, and the view was beautiful. The fresh pressed orange juice was a nice extra. The hotel is tucked beside the Venetian walls in the heart of the Old town, charming and quiet at every hour, with welcoming staff and very clean rooms. Since it's in the old town, getting up the winding alleys and stairs can be hard for some, and there are stairs throughout the property. If stairs are manageable for you, don't let that put you off. It's super affordable, and I'd return for sure.

They let us check in early, and the staff were really friendly and happy to help. Our room was basic, but it had a powerful AC and a magnificent view of the water, so I'd still recommend it. You're in the old town, with lots of places within reach.

The room, bathroom and bed were all nice, and the small balcony was still useful. For what I paid, I really can't fault the hotel. Breakfast was optional and good value. It's quite high up in the old town, with no vehicle access, so you have to carry your own bags up and down to the port. That could be difficult if you're frail or have limited mobility, though it wasn't a problem for me.
