Studios Alsos

There’s a little garden behind the first-floor room, which we found charming. The room looked lovely and had pots, pans, and other useful things. It’s around a 15-minute walk from the busy part of Naxos town. Mike picked us up at the airport and later drove us to the port, and gave us a friendly rundown of nearby grocery stores, bus stops, and the island’s main sights. We’d definitely recommend it.

We had trouble finding parking near Hotel Alsos, though that seems to be true all over Naxos and isn’t the hotel’s fault. Otherwise, we’d gladly stay here again. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Naxos Chora, so we could go out to dinner without worrying about parking. We spent seven nights and eight days here with two adults and two small children, in a lovely top-floor room. The balcony had a view of two beaches and a beautiful church, with room for a table and four chairs, two sun beds, and a swing. Inside, there was a spacious bedroom, roomy bathroom, and small kitchenette that worked well for traveling with a baby. The room was cleaned daily, towels were changed every other day, and the hotel was very clean and well kept. The staff were friendly, too. When the AC stopped working, Mixali, the owner's son, came to fix it within 10 minutes. It’s family owned. Thanks to Hotel Alsos for having us. We can’t wait to return to Naxos.

The little enclosed garden just outside my room was such a good spot to unwind, wine optional. My room was comfortable and clean, with a small kitchenette and plenty of space, including in the bathroom. The owners were welcoming and helpful, and offered a free ride to and from the port. It’s quite close, but I appreciated not having to manage my luggage alone. Amazing value for money.

I paid around 40 euros for one night in June, and the studio felt like it should cost 150. The owner was really nice and friendly, too. Just perfection and originality.
