The path down is a workout, 138 steps from the main street to the last room at the bottom. We did just one trip up and down a day. It's well worth the effort, though. The room was comfortable and so quiet, with no town noise, and the spa water was perfect every night. The staff were helpful, and a porter carried our luggage up and down, which I really appreciated and tipped generously. My wife and I stayed four nights at Aris Caves. The room felt like a real cave, with the private feel and miles of views we wanted from the Greek Isles. I'd recommend it for a quiet, romantic stay with amazing scenery, as long as all those stairs are manageable.

We spent five nights in the Xenia Cave suite and never tired of the ocean view and flowers from our balcony. Aris Caves sits on the Oia caldera, a short walk from the main sights. Alex at the front desk was incredibly kind and arranged tours and transfers for us. Staff were on hand day and night to help with our luggage on all those stairs, including when we went to and from the airport.

Alex took such good care of us at Aris Caves and went out of his way to make sure we were looked after throughout the stay. Christine made booking and coordinating everything before arrival easy. Our room was immaculate and luxurious, with spectacular views. It's a great place to get away from the crowds. We'd love to return!

We stayed at Aris Caves in early October 2024, and the place itself was classy, immaculate, and top shelf. Christina made the experience especially good. She was friendly and engaging, knew Santorini well, and helped with recommendations and booking activities. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed five nights, and the cave was exceptionally clean with lots of little details taken care of. Christina was friendly and helpful, and had a chocolate cake made by her sister waiting for us, along with olive oil from her family. The steps to the hotel were a nice walk and left us in a really peaceful setting. We were still adjusting to the time difference and slept late every day. With the wooden doors for windows, the room was completely dark, and we couldn't hear anything outside. A little piece of heaven, highly recommended!
