Otium Villas & Suites Santorini

Alfred was so helpful with our bags and maintenance, and even came with us to the pharmacy. His suggestions for places to eat and visit were useful, while Veva kept the villa spotless and added thoughtful touches. The Blue Dome Suite made our five days in Santorini feel very welcoming, and booking through AirBNB went smoothly. The view from the villa was breathtaking, just like the photos. The uneven cobblestone steps to and from the suite take some effort, but they're manageable. Crowds kept lining the narrow stairs beside the villa to photograph the blue domes, even in October, though it wasn't a problem. Most visitors understand if you need to get through to a villa beyond them when you let them know. Otium Villas and Suites were easy to work with, and we couldn't have asked for kinder attention or a more memorable stay.

I came away disappointed, mainly because of how the hotel owner treated us. They were impatient and dismissive from the moment we arrived, and simple questions about the area or facilities seemed to bother them. When we raised problems with cleanliness and basic amenities that weren't working properly, they brushed us off without trying to help. It felt as if collecting money mattered more to them than treating guests respectfully. Santorini itself is beautiful, but I strongly suggest finding somewhere else to stay. The hotel's charm can't make up for being made to feel unwelcome.

Nick's advice on food and things to do helped us find some great places on the island that we might otherwise have missed. Every restaurant he suggested was fantastic, and his local tips made us feel like we were seeing the best of Santorini. He made us feel welcome and at ease from the start. We stayed three nights, the two of us with our teenage boys, and the place was a highlight of our travels. It was beautifully decorated and equipped, immaculately clean, and the views of the sea and cliffs were stunning, especially in the morning. The thoughtful details, warm welcome, and setting made the experience special. A little piece of paradise, and we can't recommend the place or Nick highly enough.

Nikko takes real pride in this home, which has been in his family for over 400 years. When you step outside, the domes are right there, domes his great grandparents helped build. The place is beautiful, clean, and has great amenities. What a location, what a home. If you get the chance, stay in this cave home at least once in your life! 🏠👍💪🎉
