SeaRock Rooms & Suites Amorgos

The peace at SeaRock was wonderful, even on an island that already feels calm. It's tucked above the sea and Aegiali town, and we were glad to stay on this end of Amorgos. We tried two rooms: the family room on the ground floor, with direct pool access and two modern smart TVs, and the upstairs triple with a jacuzzi. Both were lovely, but we preferred the upstairs one for its big balcony, hot tub and extra privacy, even without a smart TV. Breakfast is brought over by staff from the parent hotel. Since we had a car, we chose to eat there instead. They would have driven us if needed, as the hotel is around a 45-minute walk away and visible across the bay. I recommend visiting The Aegialis Hotel and Spa anyway, to use the pool, spa and gym and to meet the family. Irene, Stamatis and the rest of them were always around, approachable and helpful. They also provided a transfer from Katapola, about a 30-minute drive. Most ferries arrive there, though some come into Aegiali. A car is useful: the walk into town for shops, restaurants, the supermarket and beach is along the road and takes about 30 minutes, and driving makes it easier to see the rest of the island. We hired through Evdokia and would do so again. Giannis gave us five-star service and was very helpful. Chora, between the two ports, is lovely and worth seeing, as are the nearby villages of Tholaria and Lagada, with their authentic, lovely restaurants. We were lucky to be there for a festival in Tholaria and see locals celebrating together. Kamara, up the hill above SeaRock, is another nice restaurant. It's a few minutes by car and then a short uphill walk, or about 40 minutes on foot. The food was nice, with sunset views. The owners were there when we needed them, including for a much-appreciated late checkout, and otherwise gave us space to enjoy a private holiday. Amorgos gave us everything we hoped for and more. I'm torn between keeping it a secret and sharing the wonderful people and place.

It felt like having our own little private corner of paradise. The place was spotless, tidy, and well located, with good service, and we really felt at home. It's small and private, and we'd absolutely come back. Mariana was so helpful and lovely, as was the rest of the service. Thanks!

The place looks even better in person than in the photos on the website. The staff were really kind and dedicated. Highly recommend!

A beautiful island and an extraordinary hotel, ideal for a relaxed holiday away from stress and city routines. I recommend it 100%.
