The owners were kind and professional, and Mr. George gave us detailed advice about the road before we arrived. We followed what he said and had no trouble getting there. It was our first visit to the island, and we were really happy with the stay. The house is lovely, and the pool fits beautifully into the amazing view. Aigaion House is a lovely little gem in Kea.

We ended up paying the full amount even though we never stayed. Getting to the room meant driving up a very steep hill, and the rough, stony road had so many potholes that I was worried the car would be damaged. The slope felt impractical and stressful, and I don't think it suits every vehicle or an average driver. I called before booking and was told the road was fine. When we raised the problem after arriving, the response was, “For us it is fine.”

The owner was welcoming, and the rooms were good, with a nice view from their elevated position. The road, though, was awful: mostly dirt, with a steep gradient and sharp bends. You'd need a high-clearance car, or a car you don't mind risking. On a motorcycle, take particular care, because it feels quite dangerous.

The drive in gets rough just before you arrive, which was the one small drawback. Otherwise, everything was perfect. The rooms and service were very nice, and Mr. George and Mrs. Anna were such kind hosts. I'd definitely return.

The first thing we saw on arrival was a wrecked building with windows hanging loose. I didn't even bother going up to look at the rest. The road was so rough that when he started the car, it felt like we were about to lose the shock absorbers. For the distance and the route, even the best rooms wouldn't be worth the price. The photos on BOOKING were completely misleading about both the road and the building. BEWARE!
