Marina Village

We spent a couple of nights in this lovely complex, surrounded by olive trees and pretty plants. It really felt like Greece. The owner is such a kind man. I’ll always remember the wonderful coffee he made for us one night so we could have it with our baklava. All the best to you, and hopefully we’ll make it back to this oasis someday.

For what it is, this is a great place and the staff are friendly and professional. The rooms are clean, modern and small, and our air conditioner was brand new. There are facilities including a small tennis court and swimming pool. The building feels like it dates from the 70s or 80s and looks its age from the outside, but it’s kept in excellent condition. It isn’t a five-star place, and they don’t claim to be. The value for money is outstanding, and they do their best.

We’re looking forward to coming back. The staff were super friendly, and you can get insect repellent devices at reception. There’s plenty of parking on the grounds, and the breakfast was fantastic, especially the tea. The hotel sits in a huge olive grove, with a five-minute walk to the village restaurants and about seven minutes to the beach. Our rooms were huge and simple but functional, with fantastic verandas where you can see all the stars at night. A lovely place for complete relaxation.

I don’t usually write reviews, but Marina Village deserves one. The staff were friendly, dedicated and always willing to help. After I left my AirPods in the room, they sent them all the way back to Switzerland, nicely packed and without asking for any money. Breakfast by the pool among the olive trees was incredibly relaxing. It was a great holiday, with Greek hospitality, honesty and kindness at their best. Thanks again, I’ll come back!
