Bitsakis Family II - Paleochora Luxury House

What we’ll remember most about our two days at Bitsakis Family is the hosts’ kindness. After we’d checked out and left Paleochora, our car broke down. Our host immediately came to find us, took me and the children to a cafe so we wouldn’t have to wait in the sun, then returned to help my husband. He called a mechanic and made sure the car was fixed before we headed home. We’ll never forget that help. The house itself was beautiful, spacious, immaculate, and equipped for a family: a well-stocked kitchen, air conditioning, three comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a lovely veranda. Netflix was a big hit with our little one. We felt comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay. Bitsakis Family made the trip memorable, and we’re so grateful.

Antonis, his son, and Maria were the best part of our stay. They were always available, helped with every request, and made sure everything went smoothly. We arrived to a fridge full of food and wine, all free. They cleaned and changed the sheets and towels every three days, and let us use the garden and barbecue area because nobody was staying in the downstairs apartment. The holiday home was stylish and spacious, with absolutely everything provided. Far better than any hotel!

Antonis and Maria were the most generous, genuine hosts we’ve ever had. Their hospitality went beyond expectations, in a spectacular place to stay any time of year.

We had a very bad experience at Bitsakis. We booked the lower apartment for January and were told on arrival that we’d have the downstairs apartment and the garden to ourselves. Adonis assured us nobody else was staying there. But on our first night we heard extremely loud screaming and things being broken. As two women, we felt very unsafe and called the owner. He said it was just his son watching TV, which seemed very strange given what we’d been told. It definitely didn’t sound like TV. We couldn’t tell whether he was affected by drugs or alcohol or having some kind of mental health problem, but the screaming carried on all night and we didn’t sleep at all. The next day we had to find somewhere else to stay within a few hours. The holiday was completely ruined, and the stress made me so sick that I ended up in hospital. I contacted Maria & Adonis privately, but heard nothing back, not even an excuse. I’m posting this publicly so other guests can be aware and avoid going through what we did.
