Artemis Bungalows (Paliochori)

The whole place felt so relaxing and elegant, a lovely escape. There’s an infinity pool facing the sea, with comfy loungers and bean bags nearby, and you can get straight to the beach. The view is breathtaking. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty to choose from, including meat, pastries, fresh fruit and juices. Highly recommend Artemis Seaside Resort!

The rooms were decent, and the beach is an easy walk away with free beach beds and good music. Still, I found the downsides outweighed those positives. The hotel is isolated, so getting back at night is difficult. Without a rental car, you're pretty much stuck, and taxis cost at least €40 each way. I rented a car for one day, drove less than an hour altogether, and was charged another €20 for gas even though the gauge had barely moved. Aside from the beach staff, the breakfast and concierge staff seemed uninterested and gave the impression they were tired of working there. It made the atmosphere awkward and unwelcoming.

The pool and beach area were a real plus, and guests don’t need reservations for the beach chairs. We stayed with family in late May and liked the hotel. The rooms were great, with cute little balconies, and breakfast was good, especially the pastries and omelet station. Lunch and dinner were disappointing: the food didn’t taste good, and they wouldn’t make changes to the dishes. I’d stay here again, but eat lunch and dinner elsewhere.

We had a lovely honeymoon at Artemis, and the staff left a bottle of wine in our room as a gift. The resort was clean throughout, with gorgeous rooms and thoughtful decor. We did have several episodes with no hot water in the shower. The staff fixed it and gave us complimentary spa services.
