Casa D'Oro Suites

The rooms are small, but they give you privacy and a cozy, romantic feel as a couple. It’s a boutique style place with a shared pool where you can cool off or sit with a drink, phone, or book. Just to be clear, the pool and rooms are the facilities here, there’s no gym or extras. The supermarket next door has pretty much everything you might need. Breakfast was nice, though we bought some eggs, cheese, and olives there to suit our tastes better. Great restaurants are nearby, and the beach is a 5-6 minute walk away. A good spot for a quiet, relaxing couple’s getaway.

The village has lovely shops, tavernas, and restaurants, and you can walk to everything you need. The sea is a short stroll away, with clear water and beautiful sunsets. Our studio style room had a kitchenette, a very comfortable bed, a walk in shower, air conditioning, and a huge ceiling fan for anyone who doesn’t like AC. Every room has a balcony, and the hosts bring breakfast out to you there each morning. There’s also a pool with loungers in a peaceful spot to soak up the sun. The people are so friendly and kind, especially the girls who run casa d'oro. They’ll do everything they can to accommodate you. I can’t recommend it enough, perfect hotel in an idyllic location.

We got the bus into Rethymno from a stop just a two minute walk away, and it came every hour. Everything else we needed was close by on foot. My girlfriend and I arrived on the 10th of June and stayed for a week. The rooms were immaculate and spacious, with both fans and air conditioning, so the heat wasn’t an issue. The pool was clean and had plenty of space, as it stayed pretty quiet during our week. A perfect place for a quiet getaway.

The location was just four minutes from shops, restaurants, and beaches. Our modern room had air conditioning, a TV, and a walk in shower. Staff were excellent, the room was cleaned regularly, and the pool was constantly cared for and kept clean. Breakfast was fantastic, with something different each day.
