Astra Inn

We arrived without a reservation and still got a perfect room. The place felt like a little village of its own, with a vegetable garden and lovely views. The owners were welcoming and helpful, and made our stay wonderful. Their restaurant served fresh, delicious food, and its breakfast was the best we had on the whole trip. Thank you for such a perfect stay!

The owners were so warm and kind, and the view was breathtaking. We had an amazing meal at Astra: everything was fresh and incredibly tasty. A lot of the vegetables come straight from their own garden, and you can really taste the difference. One of the best restaurants we enjoyed on our trip.

We hadn’t planned to stop, but the place looked so inviting that we couldn’t pass it up. Really glad we did. The view, food, and atmosphere were all flawless, making it probably the best restaurant we visited in Greece.

We only stopped for lunch. While waiting for our food, I wandered into the beautiful garden and found a dog chained up. There was some shade and fresh water, but the chain was only 2m long. The dog smelled awful, flies were everywhere because its poop hadn’t been picked up for weeks, and there were clumps of hair all around, as if it hadn’t been bathed or groomed in ages. I petted the dog for a few minutes. It was jumping with joy, and it broke my heart to leave it alone again in that filth. I asked the waiters about it. They said the owners take the dog for walks, which I find hard to believe. It was a very friendly, beautiful dog, and I can’t see why it couldn’t be free in such a large area, or why its space couldn’t be kept clean. The food was good, but I couldn’t enjoy it. Dear owners, please look after this dog and keep it company, or give it to someone who will.
