Lichovo

We paid in advance for six nights, but when our daughter got sick and had to go to a hospital in Thessaloniki, we let the owner know that we’d be late. While we were on our way, we received a notice that he had cancelled the booking and charged us the full amount. We called to ask what was happening, and he hung up on us. He never returned our money. To me, that’s theft, and I’d stay away from this place because of the person running it. In response to his comment, I never lost my wallet. I messaged him to say we were delayed because our daughter was sick, and I never lied to him.

We loved the hostess, who told us where to eat and drink in Papigo. Our room was really nice and comfortable, with perfect decor, and the breakfast was plentiful and made with very good quality products. Everything was better than we expected.

The owner was kind and helpful, and our stay at Lichovo felt very pleasant, almost like being at home. The room and lobby were nearly perfect, with a nice old village-style smell from the cleaning product. A few things need the owner's attention: some windows have nets and others don't. Since many visitors will want to sleep with the windows open, nets should be added to the ones without them as soon as possible. We'd happily book again, maybe next year.

A lovely traditional hotel, with cosy rooms and a very kind, helpful owner. I recommend it.
