Hotel Ioni

The rooms were clean and looked after, and my parents liked the hotel's spot right in the center of town. But their experience with the manager and cleaning staff was appalling. At check-in, the front desk manager was arrogant and dismissive, didn't answer their questions, and ignored their request for information about the available rooms. Later, housekeepers came in to change the keys without knocking, even though my parents were inside. The service left them so unhappy they don't want to return.

The owners were a real help during my stay, even helping me find a rental car, and they were consistently kind. I also really liked the generous, tasty breakfast. IONI Hotel is right in central Paralia, close to shops and the beaches. My room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. I had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.

The staff were actually very nice, but the owner's behavior put me off. She glared at me whenever I walked past, and other guests also described her as sour. It felt like she watched everyone as if we were going to steal something, so I don't understand the point of the security cameras. At checkout, guests have to return the key by 9:30, and after that she wouldn't let people back inside, even in the heat. Some tourists wanted to stay in because of the hot weather, but she sent them out. The location is amazing, especially from a third-floor room, though the rooms need work. The bathroom looks very old, has no window and poor ventilation, so it was always hot. The walls are thin enough that I could clearly hear the neighbors talking. Unfortunately, because of the owner, I can't give this place more than one star.
