Villa Hara Suites

I had a very unpleasant stay and would rate it 2 out of 5 stars. The room felt like a bunker, with filthy, old sheets. The Wi-Fi barely existed and was extremely slow, and the AC didn’t work. The terrace was tiny, barely enough for one person, with space for two feeling like a luxury. The pictures on Google and some agency sites didn’t match what we found. You have to leave at 9am, which is very early. The villa has been renovated, or looks as if it has, but it isn’t.

They called ahead to ask when we expected to arrive so they could get the room ready before the official check-in time, and they did. The staff are very polite and helpful, and clearly try hard to make guests comfortable. The accommodation is clean, well located, and 100-200m from the beach. Prices are very reasonable. Definitely coming back.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay at Villa Hara Suites, and their personal recommendations and care made a difference. Check-in and check-out were private, and luggage storage was available. We appreciated that pets could stay without an extra charge. The team spoke Greek, English, and Romanian. We found the location peaceful but still convenient for Katerini’s attractions and nearby beaches. Free public parking nearby and street parking made it easy to get around by car. Our suite was spacious and immaculately clean, with a kitchenette, dining table, stovetop, refrigerator, and the kitchenware we needed. The bedroom had good linens and plenty of wardrobe storage. There was a modern bathroom with a strong shower, plush towels, toiletries, and slippers. The flat-screen TV had cable and satellite channels, and free Wi-Fi was available throughout. The air-conditioned rooms had soundproofing and tiled or marble floors. We enjoyed the sun terrace and balcony for their views and relaxing feel. There was also a shared lounge and TV area, and interconnected rooms for families or larger groups. Safety features included CCTV, smoke alarms, and key access. An elevator served the upper floors, child safety socket covers were provided, and fax and photocopying services were available. Villa Hara Suites gave us a comfortable, luxurious stay with what we needed for a visit to Katerini. It suited the romantic getaway, family holiday, or business trip we had in mind, and we’d love to return.

Parking was easy, and the location stayed quiet, unlike spots nearer the main street and beach where there’d be more crowds. Our ground-floor room was clean and cool, so even with 32 degrees outside we didn’t need the A.C. The staff were polite and friendly, checked whether we needed anything, and did their best to arrange an early check-in. I’d definitely recommend the hotel.
