The quiet evenings were the best part. You could hear only the owl singing. Cleaning was done every day, and bed linen and towels were changed overnight, but the towels were very dirty. The family was hardly seen during the week. There were problems in both rooms: water was running, the glass table was broken, the fan door wasn’t covered, wires were exposed in the bathroom, and the mirror chair was covered in dust on the first day. The kitchen had very little equipment, though we could sleep there. Late check-out wasn’t allowed. Our rooms were empty when we went to collect our things in the evening, and there was somewhere we could have left them, but no one even offered that option for a small extra charge.

A simple, clean room with a nice balcony in a peaceful area, and very good value for money. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

The rooms were really comfortable, and our host and his wife were so kind. They met me and my friends at the port with our bags and showed us the way home. They also shared lots of information about places to visit and typical restaurants. If we return to Paros, we’ll definitely choose Ampeli again.

The service was so kind and helpful, and the location worked perfectly for us: close to the sea and restaurants, with the port about a 15-minute walk away. Our basic room was reasonably priced, peaceful, and lovely, with a nice little balcony.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, our airline cancelled the flight, and non-EU travelers were still barred from entering Greece. We tried to get the fee waived, but the owner never communicated with us. It was a frustrating experience.
