Hotel Kontes Comfort

Being close to the ferry station, shops, restaurants, and car rentals made the location excellent. The room was satisfactory, though the bathroom was small and in poor condition. Even with those issues, the location made up for it.

The included breakfast is at the restaurant next door, and the hotel is only a two-minute walk from the ferry port. The staff couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating, and the room was clean. I was glad to find a lift to the second floor after days of walking up and down stairs on other islands. I even ran into one of the reception staff at a local supermarket. She pointed out a shortcut back to town, and it was spot on. We can’t say enough good things about Hotel Kontes and Paros. Book it today, you’ll be glad you did.

The room had no hot water and barely any water pressure. Even with a do not disturb sign up, the housekeeper kept banging on the door all morning, so I couldn't sleep in. I asked for the hotel manager, but was told there wasn't one. A week later, I'm still waiting for a call. Since having no hot water is illegal, I filed a complaint with the Office of Tourism. This hotel was just bad.

The location near the port was the one redeeming thing. Otherwise, this was honestly the worst hotel I've stayed in. The photos give a misleading impression, and the place felt dirty, old, rundown, and had a strong musty smell. The bed was so unclean, with no mattress protector, and housekeeping didn't change the sheets daily. There was mould in the shower, a disgusting toilet, and hot water that didn't work properly. The tiny balcony faced other apartments and was covered in bird droppings. It was a really stressful stay, and I definitely don't recommend it.
